SAE EIA-649, Standard for Configuration Management, is a Configuration Management (CM) standard used by governmental organizations who want to learn the basic principles of configuration management and whom are contractually required to use the standard for guidance.

This course will provide hands-on discussion and workshops related to EIA-649 principles while providing real-world application methods for governmental environments. The course will also define application methods used for placing Configuration Management Requirements on Defense Contracts after being tailored by the Acquirer per EIA-649-1.

The three day course will provide a detailed analysis integrated with the foundational configuration and change management principles outlined within EIA-649. Students receive a licensed digital copy of the latest version of the EIA-649 standard.
